Crochet Christmas Tree Decorations – Free Pattern

Note: You can make the trees in different sizes by using different yarn weights and hook sizes.
Round 1: Start with a magic ring, ch 1, 6 sc into the ring. Pull the ring tight and join with a sl st to the first sc. (6 sc)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each stitch around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (12 sc)
Round 3: Ch 1, (1 sc in the next stitch, 2 sc in the next stitch) repeat around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (18 sc)
Round 4: Ch 1, (1 sc in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch) repeat around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (24 sc)

Trunk:
Row 1: With brown yarn, ch 6, hdc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (5 hdc)
Row 2: Ch 1, hdc in each stitch across. Turn. (5 hdc)
Repeat Row 2 until the trunk is the desired length (about 1 inch or as you prefer). Fasten off.
Assembly:
- Attach the trunk to the bottom of the tree.
- Weave in any remaining ends.
- Optional: Add a small amount of stuffing to the tree before closing the top.
