Finished Size: One size fits most (adjustable)
Gauge: 16 stitches and 12 rows = 4 inches in double crochet
Abbreviations:
- Ch: Chain
- DC: Double Crochet
- SC: Single Crochet
- SLST: Slip Stitch
- FLO: Front Loop Only
- BLO: Back Loop Only
Instructions:
Leg Warmer: Start with a slip knot.
Row 1: Ch 40. Join with a SLST to the first ch to form a ring. Be careful not to twist the chain.
Row 2: Ribbing: Ch 2 (counts as first DC). DC in each ch around. Join with a SLST to the first DC. (40 DC)
Row 3: Ch 2. DC in FLO of the next stitch, DC in BLO of the next stitch. Repeat – around. Join with a SLST to the first DC.
Rows 4-20: Repeat Row 3.
Row 21: Eyelet Row: Ch 2. DC in FLO of the next stitch, DC in BLO of the next stitch. Repeat – 8 times. Ch 2, skip 2 stitches, DC in FLO of the next stitch, DC in BLO of the next stitch. Repeat – 14 times. Ch 2, skip 2 stitches, DC in FLO of the next stitch, DC in BLO of the next stitch. Repeat – 8 times. Join with a SLST to the first DC.
Rows 22-30: Repeat Row 3.
Row 31: Ch 1 (counts as first SC). SC in each stitch around. Join with a SLST to the first SC. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Ties: Make 2
Ch 100. Fasten off and weave in ends. Attach one tie to each end of the leg warmer, weaving it through the eyelet row.
Repeat the entire pattern to make the second leg warmer.
